Victory – Teresa Teare and Parker Thoeni Win Dismissal of Case
An employee sued her former employer for various torts arising out of alleged sexual misconduct by her supervisor. The employee had previously settled the same claims against the employer’s successor. Although the release contained in the settlement agreement did not specifically name the former employer, the employee’s attempt to take a second bite of the apple was clearly in bad faith, and Teresa and Parker were able to convince the plaintiff and her counsel to dismiss her claims.
