Lindsey White, Veronica Yu Welsh and Jamie Salazer win Motion for Summary Judgment
In a case before the Superior Court of the District of Columbia, Lindsey White, Veronica Yu Welsh, and Jamie Salazer received a favorable ruling partially granting a media company’s Motion for Summary Judgment, which resulted in dismissal of the former employee’s race, national origin, sex, religion, and disability discrimination claims and retaliation claim under the D.C. Human Rights Act. The Court held that the media company had a legitimate non-discriminatory reason for the employment actions taken against the former employee, and the former employee failed to establish that the employment actions taken by the media company were causally related to any alleged protected activity.
