Today the Obama Administration filed an appeal to the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals of the emergency nationwide injunction granted last week by Judge Amos Mazzant. The preliminary injunction temporarily blocked the DOL’s new overtime rule regarding minimum salaries for the FLSA’s white-collar exemption. The rule was set to go into effect on Dec 1st. The DOL issued a press release regarding the appeal.
