This month, Fiona W. Ong testified before both the Senate Finance Committee and House Economic Matters Committee of the Maryland General Assembly on the proposed Paid Family Leave Program bill. On behalf of the Maryland Chamber of Commerce, Fiona expressed concerns about the impact on employers of a program that provides up to 24 weeks of paid leave, with guaranteed reinstatement and no ability by the employer to control or challenge the State-granted leave.
