Summary Judgement Won in Pregnancy Discrimination Case

Elizabeth Torphy-Donzella and Colin Glynn won summary judgment on behalf of an employer in a pregnancy discrimination case under Title VII.  The U.S. District Court for the District of Maryland ruled that the Plaintiff could not prove that the employer’s stated reason for terminating her – her failure to come to work as scheduled – was a pretext for discrimination.
