Webinar: Complying with Maryland’s New Employment Laws – 2023
Maryland’s General Assembly session just ended, with the passage of significant new employment legislation, including the expedited increase to a $15 minimum wage rate, modifications to the new Paid Family and Medical Leave Benefits Program, and a change to the non-compete ban for lower-wage workers, among other things (such as recreational marijuana). The Maryland Chamber of Commerce and Shawe Rosenthal LLP held a complimentary webinar on Wednesday, May 3, 2023. The Chamber’s Senior Vice President of Government Affairs Andrew Griffin will discuss the most recent session, and Shawe Rosenthal partners Fiona W. Ong, Lindsey White, and Chad Horton will explain the obligations of and provide guidance on compliance with Maryland’s new employment laws.
