Alex represents employers with regard to a wide range of labor and employment matters in court and before federal and state agencies, including the National Labor Relations Board, the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission and the Department of Labor.  He also prepares and revises employee handbooks, personnel policies, and employment agreements.

Before joining Shawe Rosenthal as an associate, Alex practiced at a regional civil litigation firm where he focused his practice on insurance defense, including employment discrimination defense.  Alex also served as a judicial law clerk for the Honorable Jeannie J. Hong of the Circuit Court for Baltimore City.  Alex graduated magna cum laude from the University of Baltimore School of Law, where he was the Articles Editor of The University of Baltimore Law Review and competed on the National Moot Court Team.
